Believe it or not, but this minimal and handmade footwear collection has been the very first line we have been offering on Urbankissed 4 years ago! The founder, Natasa - born and raised in Greece - launched Grecian Sandals in 2012 after her studies in Graphic and Fashion Design.
Inspired by Greek Mythology and the endless blue of the Greek sea, Natasa lovingly and carefully handcrafts every pair herself in her small atelier in Athens combining traditional, centuries-old techniques with contemporary designs. Our broad range of custom-made leather slides and sandals provides the ultimate balance between a cool but elegant style, mastering the effortlessly chic look that will last many seasons.

Why Leather?
Since we at Urbankissed value ethical and sustainable collection, we are often asked why we choose to stock leather. As a team of animal lovers, animal welfare is incredibly important to us. So is the protection of our planet. That is why we choose labels who champion natural materials that will naturally biodegradable over time, with upcycled leather that is a bi-product from the food industry.
Contrary to other leather sandals, these comfortable sunshine staples have been tanned and dyed using vegetables, chestnuts, moss and other trees - without the use of toxic chemicals that is extremely damaging to the environment and workers. The high-quality leather comes from cowhides that are a by-product of the food industry. The cowhides come from trusted wide-open farms in Crete, close to the leather tannery.
