Aspasia was a highly educated woman who was drawn by the philosophical and intellectual challenges of her time. She stood out and excited those around her with her rhetoric, intelligence, and eminent wisdom.
She was wanted by many and loved by lots, but she chose Pericles, the Athenian statesman, orator and general.
The political success of Pericles is mainly attributed to Aspasia. It is also a fact that the beautification of Athens and Piraeus, as well as some form of emancipation of women, was due to her.
Aspasia, a paradigm of wisdom, was one of the most educated, insightful, and perceptive women of the democratic classical Athens. An exceptional philosopher and an equal, intellectually and socially, to men of her times.

Her passion for collages turned into silk screens on paper as art and then to silk screening on silk scarves.
