Rivea is a Swiss brand making timeless swimwear, inspired by la dolce vita and the legendary Riviera. The iconic prints and impeccable cut capture the picture-postcard holiday. The founders have always been crazy about the Riviera atmosphere. They are thinking of the Riviera where they grew up, beside the sparkling waters of Lake Geneva; of the Italian Riviera, steeped in childhood memories; and of the French Riviera, where they love to holiday in the shade of pine-trees and striped parasols. 

For every item sold, Rivea donates 1 Swiss Franc to Oceaneye. Oceaneye is a non-profit organisation in Geneva fighting against plastic pollution, by raising their awareness of environmental issues, and to participate in scientific research.

SUSTAINABLE SWIMWEAR FOR MEN

The Oeko-Tex® certified fabric was specially developed for Rivea using plastic bottles recovered from beaches or fished out of the Mediterranean. The buttons are made from eco-friendly rPET, produced by a Swiss start-up in Basel. This high-end fabric is soft to touch, dries quickly and is highly resistant to wear and tear. Their swim shorts are manufactured in small production units in northern Portugal, with whom they have developed strong, lasting relationships.

The fabric is printed by sublimation, using water-based, solvent-free inks and a heat press. Not only is this one of the eco-friendliest printing processes, but it also produces some of the most sustainable results, as the colours are highly resistant to the effects of salt, sea and chlorine.

All their swimwear comes in a waterproof pouch made of TPU, a new, sustainable, biodegradable material. Perfect to take with you to the beach, on the boat, or on the terrace.
