Reistor represents minimalistic fashion that is timeless and transformative, without diluting its social and environmental responsibility. Their focus is on reducing environmental impact by using sustainable dyes that are Oekotex® and bluesign® approved, biodegradable fabrics like hemp and minimal waste packaging that is home compostable.

This brand empowers women from disadvantaged communities through vocational training in safe and hygienic workspaces with fair wages. Half of their garments are produced at community centers run by Non Profit organizations focused on providing sustainable livelihoods to women from underserved communities.

Why Clothes Made of Hemp?

Reistor uses 100% natural materials such as hemp, one of the most sustainable fibres on the planet. Only 200-500 litres of water are used to produce 1kg of dried hemp. On the other hand, 10 times more is needed to produce 1kg of cotton. It is the plant with the most O2 regeneration power.

Since hemp is inherently antimicrobial, there is no requirement for harmful pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or genetically modified seeds. Apart from this, hemp is a clean crop that cleans the soil and groundwater that it grows in of toxins. It’s a natural CO2 sink, so for every ton of hemp cultivated, it absorbs 1.63 tons of CO2 from our atmosphere!

There is no use of elastic or virgin polyester in this collection. Their sewing thread is also 100% biodegradable cotton.
