Nette Rose is a South African lingerie brand that produces limited edition delicates and intimates for body confidence which are ethically handmade with lots of love, cheek and a lot of laughs by the loveliest ladies in Cape Town.
This brand was launched by the incredible lady Megan Miller during her final year at university after she sold all of her vintage clothing at markets for ‘seed money’. The brand’s name comes from her two beautiful grandmothers Nette and Rose. Nette bought her the first pair of fabric scissors and pins after being horrified to see her using the kitchen scissors and Rose started the conversation of her attending a fashion academy instead of obtaining the conventional university degree.
Lingerie handmade with lots of love and laughs
We absolutely adore this romantic range of handmade intimates because the brand finds the most beautiful lace fabric from leftover material of designers, which would typically end up in landfills, so all pieces are limited.
Nette Rose thinks about the little things too, right down to the thread which holds the intimates together, and the company they source from does it with sustainability in mind. The company where the thread is sourced is based in South Africa and has a zero waste policy. They utilize solar energy from the warm South African sun and have since planted 1'000 olive trees to help offset their CO2 emissions. Oh yes, we’re smiling now.
