Classic tringle adjustable top & medium coverage bottom with adjustable tie sides
This eco luxe bikini is made with a light, soft and luxurious Italian swimsuit fabric. Our fabric is made out of plastic waste rescued from oceans and landfills like plastic bottles, fishing nets, carpet fluff, and fabric scraps.
Our bikinis fit true to size. Because of the seamless construction they are forgiving even if you size down or size up. The seamless feature allows for more comfort and less cutting, the fabric will stretch and lay on your body without creating folds or creases. Our main goal is to create timeless, luxurious and sustainable swimwear both in the materials that we utilize and the process behind making every single piece. Our fabrics & ethical production make us pioneers in marrying luxury with sustainability. Our eco-luxe swimwear is made using a high quality regenerated and eco-friendly fabric made in Italy. All of our fabrics meet the Oeko Tex Standard 100, the highest textile certifiable standard for sustainability. This certificate ensures the responsible use of chemicals during the entire production process of our fabrics. Our fabrics are hyper-resistant, thin, elegant, stretchy, soft and breathable: a unique mix of muscular compression and comfort. Thanks to this innovative construction, they are twice as resistant to chlorine, sun exposure, sun creams and oils compared to normal swimsuit fabrics.
The Process: Fish nets, plastic bottles, fabric scraps, old carpet flooring, and other Industrial plastics are gathered from landfills & oceans. This waste is sorted & cleaned and prepared for the next step. The waste is regenerated and purified using depolymerization, breaking down the waste and returning it to its true and most simple form. The already regenerated Nylon is then transformed into textile yarn, which is then knitted into a high-quality Italian Fabric. Our eco swimwear is made using the regenerated Nylon fabric. Our sustainable approach extends to our packaging: from 100% recycled hang tags, to our print free receipts policy by replacing everything with e-receipts.
The sustainable criteria form our Slow & Ethical Index and helps Urbankissed to be consistent and transparent in selecting the fashion we showcase. Look for these standards on our products to make your own value judgement and to shop your values. Become immersed in the new economy of change!
