Light bounces through the facets and natural inner texture of this taper shaped Citrine gemstone, a pleasant tribute to the sun. The Sophia Citrine ring can be worn on its own or stacked with similar rings. We love the translucent glow that comes off this specimen, it really comes to life on a hand. Citrine has been referred to as the "success stone," "merchant's stone" or "money stone," due to a superstition that it would bring prosperity. Because of its yellow colour, Citrine is thought of as a joyous stone with sunshiny energy to brighten up the lives of those who work with it and wear it.
The materials are 14 Carat gold vermeil – recycled sterling silver heavily electroplated with several layers of recycled 14 Carat gold.
The Gemstone is natural Citrine that was recycled from a vintage jewellery item.

Recycled Silver & Pre-Loved Gemstones
Hand-producing all the pieces in her London studio gives Nathalie complete control over the entire process. Most of their jewellery is made in vermeil - recycled sterling silver dipped in at least 2.5 microns of recycled gold. This is five times thicker than average gold plating and more durable. Some of the chains and thicker earrings are made in gold dipped discarded brass with at least 2 micron thickness of solid recycled gold. Amadeus also adds a layer of anti-tarnish to further improve durability. Their brass is nickel-free and cadmium-free.
Amadeus now only uses pre-loved gemstones and sea pearls purchased secondhand and then cut to size in their studio. The reason they opted to do this is that sourcing ethical stones is difficult, in part because there are no established bodies tracing gemstones from mine to market.
